Vision loss can pose a challenge to carrying out many activities of daily living, such as reading and writing, preparing meals, and taking care of yourself.
Our Occupational Therapist is a specialized health care provider who is trained to help you accomplish important daily activities despite impairment or limitations. Services can be provided at ABVI or in your home as needed and may include:
- Training in the effective use of devices
- Compensatory techniques to aid remaining vision for reading, writing and other activities
- Modifying environments to increase independence and safety
If vision loss is making it difficult to accomplish daily activities that are important to you, ABVI's experienced Occupational Therapist can help. Call (585) 232-1111 to learn more.
