Orientation & Mobility

Orientation & Mobility Services

The purpose of Orientation and Mobility services is to teach people who are blind or visually impaired tYoung boy walking outdoors using a white caneo travel safely and independently, and to orient to new surroundings . Training can take place at home, at work, at school, at ABVI – Goodwill, anywhere in the community.

 

 

 

 

Skills may include:

  • Traveling with a human guide
  • Long-cane skills
  • Street crossing
  • Public Transportation
  • Sensory Development
